Talking Hands
Use a soft measuring tape. A strip of paper also works — mark it and measure against a ruler.
Position the tape just above your eyebrows, above your ears, and around the widest part of the back of your head.
Keep the tape snug but not tight. Note the measurement in centimetres and enter it above.
Crochet stretches. Our pieces are crafted with natural ease built in. If you're between sizes, size up for a relaxed, slouchy look — or size down for a classic snug fit. Custom sizing is also available on select products.
Our Commitment
We make less. We make it right.
Sustainability isn't a marketing claim for us — it's the natural outcome of how we work. Handmade, small-batch, natural materials. That's the whole story.
01 / Materials
Every Talking Hands piece is handmade using high-quality yarn, chosen for its durability, softness, and rich colour range — perfect for everyday wear that holds up. As we grow, we're working toward sourcing more natural fibres like cotton across our collection.
We source our yarns in small batches from trusted suppliers who meet our standards for quality and traceability. When yarn doesn't make the cut, we repurpose it — nothing goes to landfill.
02 / Process
Because every piece is made by hand, there's no factory. No running machinery, no bulk dye baths, no industrial runoff. Our carbon footprint per garment is a fraction of what fast fashion produces.
We produce in small drops — never overstocking, never over-producing. If a piece doesn't sell in a season, it's not destroyed. It goes to our community archive or is gifted to our makers.
Offcuts and yarn ends from each piece are saved and used in future work. Our waste rate is near zero.
03 / Packaging
Each order ships in a secure ziplock bag — chosen to keep your piece clean, dry, and protected in transit while we keep things simple as we grow. As Talking Hands scales, we're actively working toward more sustainable packaging, and we'll share updates here as that evolves.
Every purchase is a vote for slow fashion, for hands over machines, for clothes that last a lifetime. Learn more about who we are and what drives us.
